HEIR OF FAXINOR Reviews:

Now THIS is an awesome story! The author took the unlikely combination of a princess and a valkyrie and somehow managed to make it work! In doing so, Michelle Levigne has proven to be very gifted in her chosen field of writing amazing stories! In fact, I understand that there may be more upcoming books set in the Faxinor realm! I can only hope this will be true and will closely be keeping my eyes on the store bookshelves for more books from this author!

A beautiful medieval tale rich with description of that time period, Ms. Levigne transports you through time so you can travel with Andriixine on her quests to save her mother, on to the bloody battle fields of war, all the while fighting her attraction to Kalsan.
From betrayal and lies, to treachery and romance, this epic adventure has it all.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is a wonderful story.  You hate to put the book down.  The characters are real, the descriptions just right.  You can't wait to see what else is going to happen in Andrixine’s life.  The strife and the struggle she must come to grips with in order to become the new Sword Bearer makes HEIR TO FAXINOR a book that is impossible to put down. I highly recommend this novel to lovers of fantasy and eagerly await the sequel that is planned for this book.

… Heir of Faxinor is an entertaining read, great for an evening's escapism.

 Rick’s Reviews

Don't look to HEIR OF FAXINOR for long passages of florid, descriptive prose, often found in fantasy novels. Instead, Levigne writes in clean and crisp manner, as pure as her underlying message of faith. … Far from preachy, FAXINOR reads as a novel of spiritual (not necessarily Christian) growth, as well as emotional growth by the characters. … And Andrixine, feisty and intelligent, is anything but the submissive female character that a reader might expect from a novel with an underlying theme of faith. I would have no problem handing this book to a non-Christian friend of mine, an avid reader. Levigne's message of faith, like George Lucas's in 'Star Wars', goes beyond boundaries.

HEIR OF FAXINOR had me cheering for Andrixine, admiring her courage and her creativity. And cheering also for Kalsan, who loves her enough to be more than a lover. He's first and foremost her true friend. Levigne has constructed characters who definitely make you want to see more of their stories by the end of the book.

I highly recommend it to fantasy romance fans who want to see a delightful first novel. Michelle did a wonderful job in worldbuilding and with her characters. … HEIR OF FAXINOR had me cheering for Andrixine, admiring her courage and her creativity. And cheering also for Kalsan, who loves her enough to be more than a lover. He's first and foremost her true friend. A tale definitely worth reading!

LORIEN reviews

Many recognizable themes play out in this book - betrayal, intrigue, romance.  When I began to read Faxinor Chronicles 2: Lorien, I thought it was going to be like a thousand other fantasy novels I'd read. But about a quarter of the way through, the book took off, throwing a curve I did not see coming. It was filled with likeable, three dimensional characters. ... The POV shifts were handled well, and there was never a point where I didn't know who was thinking or what was going on. Adventure, love and a satisfying ending made me want to read this book to the very end in just a few sittings. A good read.
