Xander Finley and Hannah Blake run Common Grounds legal clinic, dedicated to helping those who truly need help and can't afford high-priced lawyers -- like Montgomery and Associates, a legal firm that wants to keep Common Grounds from opening a branch office in Tabor Heights. Worse: Mr. Montgomery goes to their church, and tries to use his power in the church to block them.

Then those professional rivalries fall into the background when the White Rose -- a serial killer who stalks young women, demanding faithful love and purity and kills the ones who "betray him" -- supposedly decides Hannah is his new "true love."

Xander has wanted to tell Hannah how he feels, but is now the right time? Will she believe him? Or will she label it foxhole love -- just as useless and meaningless as foxhole religion?

With their church praying for them and their stumbling faith in God, Xander and Hannah will get through all their crises, and hopefully come out of it ... TOGETHER.
